I was diagnosed in July 2003 with arthritis and bone spurs in my neck and shoulders at the Crystal Clinic. During the past year doctors have prescribed cortisone injections into shoulder, anti-inflammatory and pain medications with very poor results, When my doctor suggested a series of cortisone injections into my neck, I declined and decided to try chiropractic treatment.
I came to Dr. Knop in mid May 2004 and after a few visits had very good results. Pain was decreased significantly to occasional not constant and mobility of my neck and shoulders has improved greatly.
I would endorse Dr. Knop and his chiropractic treatment as a preferred method.
I have suffered extreme low back pain, numbness in my leg, headache and stiff neck for years. I became very restricted in everyday activity.
I went to several different chiropractors and never got any relief. So at last resort, before going to a medical doctor I thought I would give Dr. Knop a shot. I have been seeing Dr. Knop now for about 6 or 7 weeks. Thru the process I almost gave up. Boy am I glad I didn't. I am now pain free and feel wonderful. My husband and four children certainly see a difference in mom's mood. I am back to my old self. Thank you Dr. Knop from myself and my Family.
P.S. Your staff also deserves a big thumbs up for being so kind and friendly and efficient
Dear Dr. Knop,
I want to "thank you" for all you have done for me. Before coming to see you, I had severe pain in my left arm and shoulder for several years from a pinched nerve. It was my concerned and loving daughter Tina and granddaughter Bambi who finally talked me into coming to see you.
I am so grateful for them too.
You have worked on me several times, and I can't believe the difference you have made in my pain. I can do things once again: being left handed I was having a hard time.
When I walk into your office, I am greeted with friendly and smiling people. I can tell you about pain in other places and you always have a solution. You are a very concerned Doctor, and a caring person I can talk to. I have and will recommend you to family and friends.
Most doctors' offices when you walk in they ask for your payment before seeing the doctor. You help people no matter what their financial status. Once again Thanks for everything you have helped me with.
God Bless you and your family,
I have suffered with head, neck and shoulder problems for several years. Recently I fell and my mother in law suggested I go to Dr. Knop. I am so glad I did. He was able to help me with the problems from my fall and the head, neck and shoulder trouble. I feel like a new person. I used to get frequent headaches, not anymore. I used to have tension in my head and neck, it's gone as well. Thank you Dr. Knop for making such a difference.
Dear Dr. Knop,
Thank you for the opportunity to have an examination for free. However, I live in Dover and there is no longer any bus service in or to anywhere. Being 80 years, I have long ago given up driving a car.
What was wanted was to confirm my doctor's diagnosis that what is wrong with my wrist is tendonitis. Both my wrists have had surgery in 1998. Up until recently the wearing of those braces was done automatically.
In May, I erected several lattice type fences and used fingers to suspend them to get them level. Which has been my undoing. My doctor, prescribed prednisone to reduce the swelling and it did a little. However, the net result is that the pain and swelling has persisted.
When I contacted your office it was to find out if the literature would define anything different that I was experiencing. One cannot forget the waking up in pain in the arms from before the surgery in 1998.
If this is tendonitis and it will take an X-ray to determine, it makes me know just how much coming to see you would have been. Thank you again but we both are in the wrong county and your office is out of my reach. My buddies are as old as I am.
I have experienced lower back pain for months prior to seeing Dr. Knop. My family physician made a referral after taking x-rays. It was difficult to move after sitting or lying down I was so stiff. It was making my job as a letter carrier painful. Dr. Knop's treatment of stretching, adjustments and therapies has given me great relief. I have a lot more mobility and no longer suffer from severe stiffness and pain. Maintenance treatment has allowed me to continue with this level of improvement.
My five year old son has had frequent ear infections but nothing alarming. Then I noticed a decrease in his ability to hear. I took him to the doctor and was told he had a lot of fluid in his ears. I was then referred to a neck surgeon. The day of his appointment, I had an earlier appointment with Dr. Knop. I explained the situation with my son to the Dr. Knop. He said he thought he could help. I canceled the appointment with the surgeon, and immediately brought him to Dr. Knop. Since he has been coming to see Dr. Knop the fluid has decreased, the amount of sinus drainage has gone away, and he can hear better.
Thank You Dr. Knop and staff, Sincerely,
Dear Dr. Knop,
I just wanted to take this time to thank you, and let you know how much you have helped me.
When my back first started hurting I went to see my medical doctor. I was told that I had a pulled muscle and was given pain medication. After a week I was no better. I went back to my doctor and was then sent for therapy. Another week went by and I was getting worse instead of better. I didn't know what to do. I was in severe pain. I couldn't do anything; in fact, I couldn't even bend down to put my own shoes and socks on.
I really didn't know what to do. Everyone was telling me what they thought I should do and where I should go. Some told me to go see a surgeon, but the thought of having surgery on my back did not impress me to much. Then a friend of mine, a patient of yours, recommended you. He told me how much you were able to help him. I had never been to a chiropractor before so I was still unsure of what to do. I decided to come see you and see what you could do for me.
After my first visit I knew you would be able to help me. I found out that I actually had a fracture and a slipped disc and not a pulled muscle. You actually sat down and explained everything to me so that I could understand what was really wrong with me.
After coming to you everyday for a week I started feeling better. I was able to get around better, in fact I was able to bend again and put my shoes and socks on myself. Then after two weeks I was able to go back to work, after being off three weeks prior to seeing you. If I had known how much you were going to be able to help me, I would not have hesitated to come see you when my problem first occurred.
To Dr. William Knop,
Football, basketball, track, tennis, baseball: great past times with wonderful opportunities for physical fitness and the training that comes with them. However, with exercise, there is the constant possibility of aches, pains, and even injury. After my fourth knee surgery, I knew my activities would need to be modified. As the years rolled along, the exercising became rather impossible because of the toll that had been taken on my knees. So when I limped into Dr. Knop's office I few weeks ago, I was mentally preparing myself for a fifth knee surgery.
We've all heard the one of a man hobbling in to a doctor's office and walking out with no painful limp; this seemed to be, yet, another cruel joke. But this is virtually my story. After a few short visits I was able to walk again with no pain. I am now looking forward to the return of the quality of life that comes with activity and exercise. I may not be ready for the local rugby game, but thanks to Dr. Knop, Natalie, and the rest of their qualified staff, I am ready to enjoy the benefits that came from an active life.
Thanks again for all you have done!
"I have had a significant amount of lower back pain pretty much as long as I can remember. I have always been a very active person, whether I'd be water-skiing, riding motorcycles, or routinely playing basketball. At one point during my junior year, I had to be assisted off the court during a summer AAU league game. I was experiencing sore muscles and numerous back spasms. My doctor told me that I had a curve in my lower back, but provided no kind of relief except of icy-hot and ordinary over-the-counter drugs. It has been 2 ½ years since then. I finally took action and went to see Dr. Knop. I was terrified the first time I went because I had never had this kind of treatment. However, now I can get out of bed in the morning. I don't feel those agonizing pains from knots, and spasms. I have to deal with back pain the rest of my life however; Dr. Knop has made my life easier, and has allowed me to do things I Love to do again."

Dear Dr. Knop,
I would like to thank you and express my appreciation to you and your staff for the treatments and care I received during my recent bout with back and hip pain.
July 26 after trying to start my day I decided I had to see a doctor. A colleague of my husband highly recommended I call your office for an appointment. To my relief you had an opening at 1:00 that day. By the time I made it to your office I was having trouble walking due to hip pain. Having never been treated for back problems I didn't know what to expect.
X-ray's were done and I had relief after the first treatment. Now after eleven treatments I feel really good and I'm hoping I can go back to my regular walking program, of course, at a much slower pace and know my limits of what and how much activity my body can tolerate.
Most importantly to me is I've made it through this period without infections or prescription drugs.

My only other experience with chiropractic treatment was horrible. I said I would never subject to "one" again, and as my wife worked for an orthopedic surgeon, we agreed upon this,
When my neck continued to stiffen over the last 6 years, along with other extensive medical problems, I could no longer turn my head from side to side or up and down. My PCP (primary care physician) Dr. Tom Gibb's told me, he himself had been treated and helped by Dr.Knop. I who really respect Dr.Gibb's opinion felt I had no choice but to try it. Needless to say I was very skeptical that Dr. Knop could help me. After my first few treatments I thought of him as Dr. Pain, but by the end of the month he turned from Dr. Pain to Dr. Gain! (I now call him Dr. Hand's). I can not fully describe the relief I have gotten, and how it has changed my life to be able to move, turn my head, sleep, tie my shoes, and appreciate life's simple movements again.
I also have to mention how pleasant; helpful and accommodating his office staff has been. My wife and I can only say, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Steve and Leslie H.
Just wanted to drop you a note to thank you got fixing my neck. I have had trouble with it on and off for many years. My regular doctor had nothing to offer but mind numbing drugs. I'd rather be in pain. When I came to your office I could barely move it at all. I left feeling better, and came to realize this would not be a onetime fix. It has taken months to be able to say this but it has never felt this good since I can recall. I used to wake up to change positions when sleeping; I now sleep through the night. I feel so much more rested and have a lot more energy. Keeping up with the appointments is important. After going to the trouble to get my neck straightened out, I would not neglect it by not having you adjust it occasionally.
For years I have suffered from neck problems. I'd wake up with a stiff neck at least once a month. I started seeing Dr. Knop because I had a pinched nerve in my neck with terrible pain going down my arm. Since going to Dr. Knop, I am pain free and haven't had a stiff neck since.
He also helped my daughter with her ankle.
He and his entire staff go the extra mile for their patients. He has made me a true believer in Chiropractic care. I would recommend him to anyone.
Dear Dr, Knop,
I want to personally thank you for your excellent care!
I was diagnosed 18 months ago with herniated disc (L4-L5) that wraps around the sciatic nerve. Physical therapy greatly reduced the pain through exercise, massages and stretches. However, my lower back and legs throb each Sunday after standing to preach for two services.
In this condition, Dr. Gibb's of Tri-County Medical sent me to you. With just one treatment, the pain subsided. The next day, my wife and I walked around Wayne County Fair for 4 hours, and then worked together on our barn roof for an hour- all pain free!
Thank You! It's great to be able to stand and walk freely!

Fifteen years ago I was told I had Carpal Tunnel and needed surgery. I had the classic symptoms, numb fingers, and achy hands. I opted not to have the surgery and to just "deal with it". I took motrin, vitamin b, and wore my hand brace, putting on make -up and using a curling iron took longer because my fingers would go numb, but I just "deal with it".
I am an artist and do stenciling, and faux painting, and I've had to turn down job's, because my hand would keep me up at night hurting so bad, "Dealing with it" became more difficult.
My daughter, Bambi worked for Dr. Knop and kept telling me to come in and let him take care of it. Was I a skeptic? Yes. What could a chiropractor do for me?
Well, after four sleepless nights, and waking up in tears, because the pain was so severe, I decided to listen. Dr. Knop took x-ray's and told me I had a pinched nerve in my neck which leads to my hand. I didn't have Carpal Tunnel. After two treatments, the pain in my neck and headache was gone. I haven't had a headache or neck pain since. I've had five treatments, when I went in for my fifth treatment, I told him this was the first time in 15 years that my fingers weren't numb, and my hand didn't wake me up hurting. I haven't taken motrin for 2 week's. I had forgotten what it's like not to e in pain, because I "dealt with it" for so long. I want to thank Dr. Knop for giving me back normal life.
Dear Dr. Knop,
I am writing this note to you and I hope that you will post it so that all of your patients that come in and wonder it the Nutura Cholestol and the Garlitrin 4000 really work will know that they sure do.
I had my cholesterol checked December 2002 and it was:
- Total Cholesterol: 210
- HDL good chol: 35
- LDL bad chol: 110
You recommended these 2 supplements and I started taking them after the first of the year. I take 2 cholestol a day and 1 garlitrin a day.
I just had my cholesterol re-checked today and here are the results.
- Total Cholesterol: 189 should be under 200
- HDL good chol: 49 should be above 40 to be good range
- LDL bad chol: 90 should be under 5.0 to be good
- Trig: 3.9 should be under 5.0 to be good
As you can see, all of my levels have improved significantly and the only change I have made is to take these supplements daily. Think what would happen if I actually exercised!!!
The Supplements Work!
Thanks for your help with this very important health concern of mine.
Your patient for life, Susan D. W-S
Dear Dr. Knop,
I wanted to thank you for your thorough and kind help in assisting me during my recent injury to my lower back. I have never had that severe pain and felt that this injury was something only surgery would correct but I am certainly glad I came to your office first. After you examined me and treated me, which I might add was immediately following my injury, you relieved my fears and I began to feel relief immediately.
Your continued care and treatment made it possible for me to continue to work without missing an hour. Now after four weeks of extended care and treatment I am able to resume regular duties at work and at home.
Thank you for your professional care and relieving my fears and also for extinguishing the pain without the use of powerful mind altering drugs.
I would like to acknowledge the care I have received from your staff made me feel comfortable and always more than just a patient but a friend too. Their attitude speaks volumes in kindness and wanting to help not just get you in and out.
Thank you again for all you have done for me. I have recommended you to everyone I come in contact with and will continue to do so. YOU AND YOUR STAFF HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE.
Dear Dr. Knop,
About three years ago, I suffered a back injury. After visits to several doctors, I continued to experience severe pain as well as reactions to prescribed medications. None of doctors wanted to investigate the source of my pain but all eager to write prescriptions.
Then one of the doctors suggested that I contact you. When I called your office, I was surprised that I could make an appointment the same day. You took and x-ray, determined the source of my problem and immediately began treatments (without pain medication). Within a few days, I noticed remarkable improvements. After two to three month's, I had returned to most of my activities with very little discomfort and although I realize that my condition cannot be completely cured, I have been able to control most of the pain.
Because you have encouraged me to receive regular adjustments, I have seen you for treatments on a continuous basis every month. I not only feel that the treatments continue to help my condition receiving regular treatments even though their condition may be improved.
My sincere thanks to you and your staff for the friendly and professional service and for the many health benefits that I gain from chiropractic treatments.
To Dr. Knop's Patients:
I've had the misfortune of having cervical neck pain due to a combination of arthritis and injury. I had severe pain in my neck that also extended down my arm. It was difficult to drive, sleep, turn or do any type of physical activity, it was very dehabilitating. Before visiting Dr. Knop, I consulted with an orthopedic surgeon who recommended neck surgery. I did not want surgery but I was also very skeptical of chiropractic treatment. I was encouraged by my wife to visit Dr. Knop I was convinced he could provide me with relief from my pain. He accurately diagnosed the pain and put forth a treatment plan that included multiple visits consisting of three visits per week for four to five week periods. The process was long the there was little relief initially, however as the treatments continued the pain diminished in intensity. It took a little more than a month's worth of treatment but my pain has completely been eliminated and I have significant increased mobility in my neck. I have been pain free for about three months and I look forward to the once-a-month adjustments which ensure my pain free condition.
Dr. Knop is an exceptionally skilled doctor who is very personable and treats patients individually with great respect. He also has great assistants who provide wonderful care and great conversation. If you're reading this note, you've made the right decision, just stick with it.

I started visits with Dr. Knop in March of 2006. I have had ongoing back problems since my teens and had never been to a chiropractor. At the time of my first visit, I was in a lot of pain and couldn't even stand up straight, and medication did not help or it would make me too groggy to function normally.
I was referred to Dr. Knop's office after a stat care visit. Immediately following my first adjustment, there was noticeable relief! I could stand upright and walk normally. I began regular scheduled visits, and have a definite improvement in my range of motion, pain level, and physical activity ability. My back hasn't felt this good in a very long time. My strength is improving, and I'm much happier overall. Every visit is beneficial, I feel better after each treatment, and I now come to the office for regular maintenance adjustments.
I would highly recommend Dr. Knop and chiropractic care to anyone with any sort of pain. It is wonderful to get real relief and correction, instead of just masking the pain with medication that does not correct the problem. I only wish I had started regular chiropractic care earlier. I'm a believer!
When I first came to Dr. Knop's office to be examined and treated, my knee was so sore I could barely put my weight on it. When I had previous knee pain, my family physician x-rayed it and said I had a nasty spot of arthritis in it and prescribed me medicine to reduce the inflammation and help with pain. This helped at first, but flare-ups continued, the pain was getting worse and I was losing use of the knee, so at a friends urging, I came to Dr, Knop for help.
Dr, Knop took the time to explain what arthritis was, how it was affecting my knee, and how he planned to treat it, after approximately two months of several treatments a week, the soreness was gone and I regained flexibility so that I could walk normally and resume my usual activities. This was such a relief, because I was afraid I was going to be permanently debilitated with this problem, since arthritis has no cure.
This understanding, occasionally follow-up treatments, home exercises and vitamin supplements aimed at this kind of problem, is helping me maintain my ability to use the knee and continue my normal activities in spite of the arthritis.
I injured my right knee sometime in September of 2005, and I had it examined by a doctor in rheumatology. He thought I had a torn meniscus, and ordered and M.R.I. They also thought I would need surgery to repair or remove it.
I then went to see Dr. Knop, and after examining my knee said he did not think anything was torn. Dr. Knop started therapy on my knee the following week. After two sessions there was major relief. The swelling has continued to decrease. At this time I have had three sessions of therapy and improving greatly! In the future I will contact Dr. Knop for any and all injuries!
I highly recommend Dr. Knop to all my friends and relatives. Oh yes, the M.R.I. was negative.

Dear Dr. Knop,
Please accept my sincere gratitude and thanks for your treatment of my lower back and neck since about June 1, 2006. I've found your efforts to be very competent, cost effective, and convenient. Your staff has handled me with the highest courtesy and respect. I cannot thank you enough.
A little background: I'm 53, overweight and have a history of lower back pain. I work in an office, but travel frequently requiring carryon luggage and airport acrobatics. My home is situated on a 20-acre mini forest that requires a lot of weekend warrior activity. I think you get the idea.
Dating in the 80's, my family MD has treated various back flair up's some of which were very severe. The problem had become increasingly worse over the years to where I was actually crooked and usually in tremendous pain every Monday and Tuesday. I got to where the pain was not easing at all by the weekend where the cycle started over. Although I trust my family doctor completely, I was fearful of anticipated nonstop testing, specialist referrals and follow-ups. I simply felt it was easier to live with the problem, chalking it up to age and lifestyle. Finally the problem became very, very difficult, almost unbearable.
A work colleague, here in Hartville, suggested I contact you, within a short time, the pain is mostly gone…something like 95%+ improvement, which seems to be sustained now over several months. My physical work capacity has increased. I can function well again as long as I'm cautious. More importantly, I'm comfortable, walking erect, improved range of motion, and I really do feel good.
I wish I had not waited so long. The thought had never occurred to me that a simple physical therapy based treatment rooted in sound historical medical concepts could work so easily. I owe you a complete debt of thanks for your efforts.
I hope that someday, I can repay the favor to you and your staff.
Very best regards,
Dear Dr. Knop

I am a 75 year old retired teacher & coach. I have always been very active working and using my body. Last summer I injured my lower back, following the advice of a medical doctor, I was advised to see a chiropractor. I choose Dr. Knop. After a series of treatments I returned to Florida for the winter. My back was pain free as I enjoyed the winter months working around the house, swimming, golfing, and participating in outdoor activities. The treatments and office visits at Dr. Knops was very pleasant, and I looked forward to the visits because I knew I was getting better with each visit. I am very lucky to have chosen Dr. Knop as a true professional and great friend.
An accident in 1981 has caused me a great deal in my neck and shoulders. My range of motion was also decreased and as I get older continues to decrease. Household task have become difficult due to pain and lack of motion. Sports are great fun but leave me with more aches and pains the next day.
Dr. Knop's adjustments have increased my range of motion and decreased my pain. I have been receiving adjustments for over a year now and I will continue my visits to Dr. Knop.
My daughter gets a lot of pleasure out of telling her mom "I told you so," so especially since mom is feeling a whole lot better these days. I've had back problems for a while now and when I fell this winter, it just got a whole lot worse. My daughter has been going to Dr. Knop and wanted me to go but I kept putting her off with different excuses. When I could hardly walk because of sciatica, she called Dr. Knop and made an appointment for me. Yep, she was right. I'm moving better and better and I know I will need to keep coming in for adjustments so I can continue to enjoy my life and not just accept the limitations of getting older- no way when there is an alternative. Thank you Dr. Knop for giving me that alternative! (Yes, thank you Chris).
How to find back pain relief. You will be as surprised as I was with you visit to Dr. Knop's office. When I first visited Dr. Knop I was in severe back pain. I could not walk upright and had very little pain. After the second treatment I was pain free.
I now have a comprehensive chiropractic program with Dr. Knop and have found that I get better nights sleep and awake in the morning more rested and I am no longer sore and stiff. If you suffer with these symptoms you need to visit Dr. Knop.

I have been receiving treatment from Dr. Knop since shortly after he began his practice in Hartville for the treatment of fibromyalgia pain and myofascial pain syndrome. While these conditions are chronic, I have made much progress under Dr. Knop's care.
I have found Dr. Knop to be remarkably knowledgeable and very skillful in his work. He has been willing to research my condition and he has suggested variations in treatment that have decreased pain. Dr. Knop has listened to the feedback I have provided about my responses to treatment and he has been willing to try methods that I have suggested if he believed these methods would benefit me. I never felt that Dr. Knop is rushing through my treatment. He listens well and I have experienced a caring attitude from him. I believe that he connects well with his patients and that he cares about his patients' well-being.
Dr. Knop has also effectively treated me for acute shoulder and rib injuries. I continue to be amazed at how quickly he is able to correctly diagnose my injury and match to that a diagnosis treatment which heals the injury.
Dr. Knop's office is very pleasant place to be. His staff is always cheerful, warm, and very professional in their interactions with patients. Because of my satisfaction with Dr. Knop's care, I have referred many friends and family members to Dr. Knop and they have all reported satisfaction with his care.
Dr. Knop is more that just a Chiropractor, When I came to him a few months ago I had tremendous pain in the right neck, shoulder and arm area. Through extensive work on, not only the bone and joints, but the complete muscle groups around the area, I have been able to fully function on a day to day basis. I would recommend Dr. Knop and Knop chiropractic to ANYONE. I have been to hell and back and I appreciate all that they have been able to accomplish in a short period of time. This accident happened eight long years ago and I'm just now getting my life back! Thanks to the entire Knop Chiropractic team.

Dear Dr. Knop,
I am writing this letter to let you know, that about 2 years ago, I entered your office after I had severely injured my lower back. I didn't have much confidence in doctors at that time. With in the first week of visits to your office I felt much better and was able to return to work. The way I was treated by you and your staff was above and beyond anything I have ever experienced. I felt as if I was treated on a very personable level that is very rare this day and age. After my back was healed you had asked to try to cure my headaches. Without hesitation I allowed you to treat this matter. I just wanted to let you know that after several visits to other doctors for my headaches, you were the only doctor to handle this problem that I have had for about a year. I can't even begin to tell you how grateful I am that you and your staff treated me as a person in need and not just a client. Doctor your practice with patients should grow daily due to your personal touch that you seem to have with each of your patients. I just wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed my visits to your office and how if there is any way to return the goodwill that I have encountered at your office do not hesitate to call.

Dear Dr. Knop,
Thank you Thank you Thank you; my wife is out of pain! Before she came to see you she was not in pain she was a pain and every member of the family can vouch for that.
The pain in her arm got so back that my wife claimed she would rather go through childbirth that to deal with this any longer; by the way she gave birth to four children natural with no pain medication.
Before we came to you with this problem my wife sought out from our family practitioner. They did an ultra sound of her arm, did blood tests, checked for blood clots and tested for pinch nerves, but could not find anything wrong with her arm. All they could do is prescribe pain pills that upset her stomach and made her even more miserable.
When we finally came to your office you explained to us that there was really nothing wrong with her arm but the discomfort was coming from the neck; my wife did not agree, however we came to you as directed.
You also explained to us that the pain would get worse before it would get better; my wife was not at all happy about this, and that you wanted to get the pain to move to the neck where the problem was originating.
I have to admit, I was a little skeptical, but the recovery went just as you had planned! After just one week treatment the pain did move to her neck and after another week or so the pain is gone! You have dropped the frequency of visits down now and with some routine maintenance hopefully my wife and our family will not have to go through this again!
With warm appreciation,
The entire Luke Family
I want to let you know how much your chiropractic care has impacted my life. Two months ago I walked into your office, in pain and unable to function properly. After the first couple of weeks, I noticed a difference in my ability to perform simple tasks. I can run at will, without my knees giving me any pain, and my shoulders no longer have the nagging pain, which seemed so normal. The quality of life that I have at this point is priceless. I know that any problems, or questions, that I may have about my well being will be answered by DR.KNOP.
I should have made this choice years ago.
Thank you, DR.KNOP, for helping me understand and experience the true meaning, quality of life.
